¶ How to add a Vehicle Owner in MyTaxiCRM?
In the MyTaxiCRM system, each car can be assigned to a specific owner (the same or different) – this is important for reporting and financial accounting. Owners are added once at the company level, after which they can be assigned to any vehicle in the fleet. The presence of the owner element provides flexibility and broad customization options for how your company's vehicle fleet(s) are organized, taking into account the ownership structure of the vehicles.
¶ Creating a new car owner
- In the MyTaxiCRM panel menu on the left, go to the «Directory» section → «Car owners».
- Click the green «Add car owner» button in the top right corner.
- Enter the following:
- name of the company or person;
- select type from the available options — «Fleet», «Investor», or «Leasing»;
- add a comment if you want to note something about changes in the ownership structure of the vehicle fleet.
- Click «Save» – the owner will appear in the list and can later be edited or deleted.
The owner type setting will subsequently affect the P&L report and the logic (mathematical expressions) used by MyTaxiCRM analytical modules to calculate and reflect derived indicators and values (balances, efficiency, etc.).
⚠️ This approach allows the fleet to correctly differentiate and track operations and finances, especially in cases where not all vehicles belong to one person or company, or when a mixed ownership structure of assets has arisen during business scaling (the fleet was expanded with vehicles purchased on lease or with investor funds).
¶ Assigning ownership to a car
Add a vehicle owner to a car so that it is properly recorded by the system (correctly reflected in reports and analytics):
- In the MyTaxiCRM panel menu on the left, go to the «Cars» section;
- In the «General information» block, you can add or the first time or change the owner of this car (click on the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the block and select the desired owner from the drop-down menu).
